Today we watched the 1922 silent version of "Camille" with Nazimova and Rudolph Valentino.
Amazing movie. Incredible style and art direction. Rudolph wasn't a star yet, so he didn't have that much to do - it's all about Nazimova...and damn!, but she pulled out all the acting stops on this one! Not to mention, she had an afro that would make Pam Grier eat her heart out!
If you ever get a chance, be sure to see this one! (And it's only 70+ minutes. If you hate silents, it's worth an hour just to see the sets and cinematography.)
