I hadn't heard Datsun pronounced that way, like the word "that" as the Dat in Datsun, instead of like the word "dot"....

and then there's this one--I thought the vehicle on the mountaintop was something that started in 80's commercials, but apparantly not:

Okay, I don't remember anything before 1990 television-wise unless of course we are talking about cartoons.

I'm a weirdo--I've always paid attention to commercials. Not the products themselves, but just in the whole demographics thing and cinematography and dialogue and effects and music and jungles and such.

Something I end up remembering EVERY Christmas is a little jingle for PayLess, a store that doesn't exist anymore:

"Merry Christmas from PayLess, Merry Christmaaaaaaas." I wish I could find a clip of it.
