Great Show

I saw Kizzume with 'The Mercury Rising,' and it was one hell of a great show. When I first heard just a bit of the band a couple weeks ago I compared it to Tool. Mistake. I'd say more along the lines of King Crimson-ish, which is a big compliment from me since I love the Crimson.

Drummer had lots of cool time signatures, the bassist and guitarist were very tight with his rythms. The bassist has a great rocker personality, the guitarist a noticeable stage presence. And man can he play!

The singing was of course, top notch. Kizzume seemed a little nervous at first but man did he open up and perform by the end! One of hell of a performer! Complimented the severely talented band quite well. I'd say the band in general warmed up and built in intensity as the show continued quite progressively.

Great show. Loved every minute of it. If that was apparently a 40 minute set list, it went by very very quickly. Seemed to go by very fast.

I thought the show went well. I need to be more diligent about making sure the vocals are loud enough in the mix.

Also man, talk to the band about the pictures section of the myspace! Almost all the pictures are with a different lead singer. I'd have to think it woudl be very confusing for new fans trying to get a feel for the band and not being able to figure out who the front man is!
