I still haven't gotten that little political spark back yet. I just haven't been caring at all about politics anymore. I've become apathetic I suppose. I just don't care anymore. If it doesn't affect me, I'm tired of thinking about it. I have such a cynical view of the whole thing to begin with that I just expect that bad things are to come and if something good comes along, cool--that's a nice surprise.
Most of my time anymore has been spent at the studio, fixing a computer, and getting on Second Life (a multiplayer environment virtual world). The only forum I've been even somewhat active in is Second Life Universe, and that hasn't been political stuff.
I don't know what that means for THIS message board. I'm going to keep it up, I'm going to continue moving posts to their appropriate spots when I see them, but I just don't think it's going to be anytime soon that I'll be getting really active on ANY forums anymore. I just don't care anymore, and it's kind-of depressing.
This certainly COULD be just a depressed phase and I'll be back to how I was before, but maybe not, and I'm really guessing not.
When it hit me, when I had the epiphany, it hit me like a ton of bricks in the face. I don't understand what arguing politics accomplishes anymore or how it benefits me in any way anymore. It's like I've gained everything I could have gained out of it already. In general I still don't fully know what this means.
Thanks for still coming here and bearing with me.

Really? Barrack doesn't excite you at all?
For me it isn't just about excitement: it is realizing that if McCain gets elected, and we have 4 more years of rich tax cuts and Iraq occupation, our economy and our dollar is going to continue to get worse and worse.
For me, it isn't just excitement, but a desire to survive! Survival is getting a lot harder these days with $4.15 a gallon, rising food costs, inflating dollar, etc. I want to survive! Therefore, I am excited about the possibility of seeing things get better!

I spent $4.50 a gallon just yesterday.
I'm saying that I see things in such a pessimistic light that IF things DO go well, I'll be surprised.
