|

I used to be pretty immersed in the fast food world until I recently took a break from shitty food. By that I don't mean I took a break from fatty food. I took a break from CHEAP, LOW QUALITY FOOD. My GOODNESS. After just a short sabbatical from McDonald's food, I realize I may never eat there again.
I ate there today with my dog.
Let me clarify: I had to work HARD to get my DOG to eat part of my meal. She kept spitting out the chicken nuggets and looking at it like "this is food?" Finally, when I tore the cold dry chunk in half, I got her to eat it.
Worst part? I feel like I am going to puke now. I am not sure I can hold this in.
My goodness, why do people eat at McDonald's?

For the record, if you prepare the food yourself, it isn't hard to eat higher quality food. I get most my food at costco for what ends up being the same price as mcdonalds per meal. Actually, I think it is cheaper than mcdonalds.

In the past 15 years, I've probably eaten at McDonald's 4 times. I can't stand the place--it's nasty preservative-ridden food product substance.
I don't get why anyone eats there either. Burger King isn't that far behind McDonald's, in fact, I think I'd rank the Burger King HAMBURGER PATTIES even lower than McDonald's patties.
Carl's Jr, Jack in the Box, and Wendy's are okay. Arby's has went WAY downhill but they still blow away McDonald's.
When I was skinny, when I tried to eat McDonald's food, I'd get bluish fingernails.

Agreed. I can't stand most fast food, and McDonald's is one of the worst. Probably has something to do with my pancreas not functioning and high carb, high fat foods kicking my blood sugar all over the place. If I do quick food, I will hit someplace that has good options for sides, like Subway, or even Chick-fil-a, where I can get fruit instead of fries. The really sad thing is, your poor dog would not even swallow it. That's when you know its way below edible. Blech.

McDonald's is sick. I started a "fast food fast" November 1. I feel great already. Of course, I ate fast food between 3-5 times a week for years before this. If I do break down and have some fast food, it'll be Frugal's or something, and no deep fried goods.

I don't know of that place. But I think I remember someone telling me that there was one in Tacoma. (Man, I am being stupid. Okay, time for me to go to freaking KINKOS now, goodnight)

Personally, I think white castle is worse. Their food acts like liquid Drain-o.
