Well, I just got done with this render and I figured I would put it up here for all to see, let the comments begin. If anyone has any questions about this, let me know and I'll be more than happy to answer them. This pic is called "Base Density" for no particular reason.

Do you have a larger version? I think I may want to use that as my deskop background for a while if I had a 1280x1024 or larger version....

1280x1024? Happy coincidence, that's exactly the resolution I output these suckers in. I hate to be a link-whore, but a majority of my other works are at my (temporary) website.

Wow--I really like http://www.hateindex.com/ess2s2/image/paper/alien%20moonrisepost.jpg for a background too, as well as http://www.hateindex.com/ess2s2/image/paper/blackoutpost.jpg

I actually did a new version of Blackout, but I haven't had a chance to stamp it and post it. The server my site is on is kind of hard to access, and the guy that runs it is hard to get a hold of sometimes. I'm looking for a new host, but I'm kind of stuck.

I am fortunate to have the kind of access I do to kizzume.com. It's a friend of mine that the account is primarily under, but he and I share the costs and the space.

For those curious, I do the majority of my work in Bryce 6, with small forays into "helper" programs such as Amorphium, Poser, and Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop. I prefer simpler, more striking designs as opposed to more complicated ones, not only because simpler designs are (generally) easier to do, and take a shorter time to render, but because they look cleaner and more inviting on a desktop, which is the primary use of these pictures.

I used to dabble in high-end programs such as 3D Studio Max and Lightwave 3D, although those programs have such a high learning curve, it's hard to realize a creative vision while working through all that tech. I've found that Bryce strikes a very inviting middle ground between power and ease of use, and it is very full featured for amateurs such as myself. Whenever I do a render, I save the final product in both a .tiff format as well as a max quality .jpeg format which I use as my "product."

If you want a larger version of the picture, both of us have it--he sent me a copy in email. 1280x1024. I can post it here if Ess2s2 doesn't mind, but since he did send it to me in email, I imagine there's some reason why he doesn't want the larger one released. I don't know. Cool stuff though.

I don't currently have access to my email, and I am probably going to be offline soon, so if Kizzume would like to PM Hackfest with the pic, that's fine by me, but yeah, for the time being, I don't want the pic loose in the wild.
