Obama is having trouble downplaying the ex-minister from his Chicago church.

Well, my attempts at embedding the msnbc video have failed Oh well....
Obama no longer has Wright on his spiritual advisory committee.

Talk about stupid crap.
I want to point something out.
John McCain was endorsed by President Bush, and then turned around and said he admired him. President Bush. The guy who vetoed a bill outlawing torture. A guy who broke the geneva convention and attacked a country despite the UN saying not to. A guy who continually pushes the EPA to go soft on environmental standards. The same guy who completely botched the Hurricane Katrina relief ON PURPOSE BECAUSE THEY WERE MOSTLY BLACKS.
Yet the Media isn't going crazy at the fact that the worst person in our whole country has endorsed McCain and is loved by McCain.
Therefore, how can I even be concerned about some stupid reverend? Who cares? So the reverend talks a lot of crazy liberal talk. At least he hasn't broken the geneva convention, doesn't endorse torture, and hasn't run our former surplus economy into the ground. What I am appalled by is the fact that the Media is making a big deal out of this, but downplaying the fact that McCain admires someone with a 22% approval rating.

I agree. I wish he wasn't having so much trouble shaking the minister off, but I've seen so many forums now where people are trying to rip him apart for it. The fact that he's flat-out stated that he disagrees with Wright's positions and that he has removed him from the committee shows to me that he really doesn't want anything to do with the guy.

Link please. I don't admire Bush, but this is the type of thing that feeds the morons who form opinions based on emotion and what they heard on Air America. It's the same spew as the whole "Bush lied" bit that many on the left were trying to push until a few people on the right finally asked, "Lied about what?" and the response was, "WMDs". Which in reality translated to "Bush lied = Had bad information. The same bad information that Hillary, many other democrats, and military intelligence ALL thought was good information." /mini rant.

I don't know if he did it on purpose, but he certainly botched Katrina.
