What in the world was she on when she made that comparison? Was it Paula Abdul she shared drugs with or was it Rush Limbaugh?

I don't understand the outrage.

She used very familiar historical events to illustrate other times when the primary decision for the nomination had lasted this long.

She didn't make any real comparisons - simply stated a fact.

I think she's often too quick to play the victim - but, then, some kind of bullshit like this shows up, and it gives the victim role validation.

It struck me as a passive-aggressive attack on Obama, pandering to the crowd that thinks that Obama would get assassinated if he became president. That might not have been what she meant, but you don't bring up assassinations during a political campaign, it's just not very smart.

Agreed. Clinton knows better than to pull shit like this, and for this reason she should do the honorable thing and withdraw from the race. It has nothing to do with false accusations of racism, or her policy positions, or her snide and condescending attitude towards the public. No, it's about statements like the ones she made about Bobby Kennedy, and threatening to annihilate Iran. These remarks, more than anything else, disqualify Hillary Clinton from becoming president of the United States. This is why, as much as I can't stand Obama for being the pandering phony he is, I cannot and will not support Hillary Clinton.

WHAT?!

THAT'S ABSURD.

She did no such thing.
She gave other instances of times when the primary went on this long - and longer. She made absolutely NO illusion to Obama being assassinated AT ALL. And anybody who thinks it was such a reference is searching for ANYTHING to try to obscure the facts about what she said.
Jeesh
I'm not even a Hillary supporter - but I can smell a smear campaign - and so should anybody else who has ever had their words twisted and distorted in an attempt to discredit.
I don't consider what she said to be "pulling" anything whatsoever.

Whether what she said was on purpose or not, it was a foolish thing to bring up. Bringing up the word "assassination" during a campaign is just really not smart.

I think that it's inappropriate considering the perceived threats to Obama's safety. I don't think that Clinton really wants Obama dead (unless she's the VP). I just think that she said something offensive considering the current climate.

You're probably right, but it was sure not a very well-thought-out thing for her to say, but you're probably right.
