I haven't kept up on the scene. Does anyone know the current status on how close we are to fully emulating commercial PS2 stuff? I really need an excuse to upgrade my PC, and a few choice PC games aren't enough to justify it. An entire catalog, like PS2 or Gamecube titles though would be a different story altogether. Wink

I haven't seen ANYTHING on that. I haven't even researched it because I just have a p4 3.2ghz and a gig of ram. My video card isn't that great either--it has 256 megs of ram on it, but it sucks. Smile So I couldn't even fathom trying to run something like that. My video card sucks so much that Oblivion runs at 2 seconds a frame.

So if my computer is about half of all that information, what are you saying about me? :'(

As far as I've been able to tell, PCSX2 is the most compatible current emulator. It fully supports 715 commercial games, although framerates, graphical glitches, and other snafus abound. PCSX2z also requires some very beefy hardware.

Certainly not the kind of hardware I'm going to have for a while. Smile
