After some interesting stuff got brought up in the "welcome RSR" thread, I am now very curious to know more about fellow contributors, as many have clarified certain stances in that thread. For all who want to participate who is your:
Favorite President(s): George Washington, James Madison, and FDR
Least Favorite President(s): Franklin Pierce, Ulysses Grant, Jimmy Carter, GW Bush
If a company found the cure for cancer, should they be allowed to charge whatever price they want for it?: No. But I am not sure how I would want that issue to be handled. Maybe if it was government subsidized so it could be discounted.....
Bush Tax Cuts, for or against?: Against. Right now we borrow and spend. I would rather tax in some places and spend less.
Contraceptive Teaching in Schools?: Yes. I feel like it will help statistically lower STDs and pregnancy therefore we should do it.
Creation Science taught in schools?: Yes. Though I don't believe in creation science, I do think that there should be SOME sort of mention about God as an alternative to evolution. I don't know how that should be implemented, but I don't believe in removing the option of God from the classroom.
Pro Choice?: I am for limited pro-choice. No late abortions.
Corporate Welfare: I believe our corporate welfare system is terrible. It needs to be reformed so that the only businesses that get corporate welfare are those which keep jobs IN the country, or something along those lines.
(For people in Washington)Christine Gregoire or Dino Rossi?: Dino Rossi
Who is your favorite democratic nominee: Barrack Obama or Mike Gravel.
Who is your favorite republican nominee: Ron Paul. I thought Giuliani might be okay, but he has seemed to really change from what he was as mayor of New York, or I didn't know about him well enough before....

Favorite President(s): Theodore Roosevelt, FDR, and Lincoln, (some things about LBJ).
Least Favorite President(s): The Schrub, Woodrow Wilson, Andrew Jackson, Andrew Johnson
Bush Tax Cuts, for or against?: Against. We spend too much to cut taxes, and when he did, he spent like a chimp with a credit card.
Contraceptive Teaching in Schools?: Yes. It's necessary to mitigate damage and part of a proper sex education programme.
Creation Science taught in schools?: No. Creation Science is an oxymoron. There is no such thing as "Creation Science." God is not a scientific hypothesis, nor is it a theory of anything. To be scientific, it must in principle be falsifiable, yet the concept of God is unfalsifiable. Thus it's not science. Given that there is no evidence of Creationism, and given it is night totally unaccepted in the scientific world, and given that time is limited and we can barely teach concepts in-depth now, there's little time to inject Creationism into the curriculum. It also assumes there's only one creationism. There are literally dozens of creation myths. To teach Creationism in the classroom also violates the Establishment Clause.
Pro Choice?: I support abortion throughout the first and second trimesters and then afterward as decided by the mother and the physician.
Corporate Welfare: Corporations should only get money for incentives to obey national mandates.
Who is your favorite democratic nominee: Bill Richardson/ Obama
Who is your favorite republican nominee: Ron Paul. I don't like any of them, but the crazy libertarian I think's better than the neo-conservatives and the religious nutters.

Favorite Presidents: Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, FDR, LBJ, and Reagan (Yeah, odd I know)
Least Favorite Presidents: Herbert Hoover, Richard Nixon, George W. Bush
If a company found the cure for cancer, should they be allowed to charge whatever price they want for it? In short, No. I think that the company should be able to charge a fair price that recoups the costs of development and provide a reasonable profit. I do not think that the company should be allowed to gouge the public. I think that the government can provide assistance with the costs of the medication to individuals who require it.
Bush Tax Cuts, for or against? Mostly For. I agree that the tax cuts were generally targeted incorrectly, however the cut sparked spending which sparks an increase in tax revenue which reduces the need for us to create new taxes or cut programs.
Contraceptive Teaching in Schools? Yes. We need a comprehensive sex ed plan in our schools that educates instead of implicates our children.
Creation Science taught in schools? Yes. If the local school district finds that teaching creationism is important to community values then sure, lets have it along side the 'theory' of evolution. One theory is as good as another in this matter...
Pro Choice? Yes. You choose to engage in sex or not. If you choose to engage in sex then you choose to accept the consequences. If you do not choose to engage in sex (rape/incest), then you are permitted to be exempt for the consequences of sex as much as the state can ensure.
Corporate Welfare? I think that corporate welfare is a necessary evil. While I would like for competition to be the ultimate answer for everything, there are some cases were the government must act to insure basic providing.
Favorite Democratic Nominee? Richardson or Obama
Favorite Republican Nominee? Rudy or McCain
