Those two hours that the server was completely down was scary! I couldn't access ANYTHING.

I "believe" they were transferring my files to a different area to use the new VDECKv3 instead of 2 that they're using now, and I guess it required some file transfers or something.

I'm hoping come Monday that I can talk with them to see how I can set up kizzume.com as kizzume.com, then change this forum address over to looking like www.kizzume.com/forum /index.php

That way someone can go to my main site and then click forum and it simply goes down a directory instead of looking like it goes somewhere completely different.

Blah blah--

Anyway--I was stressed stressed stressed out there for a bit.

I'm so glad it wasn't anything major going down at the server place.

You own your domain names outright, no? You have control over the nameservers for kizzume.com and kizzumeforum.com?

I registered kizzume.com and kizzumeforum.com with namecheap.com

I have full control over the server, but the name of the server is Infraxes. I have the interface in namecheap redirecting to the locations in infraxes, but I'd rather it be a real thing, but I haven't the slightest idea on how to do that. There are options for it in the VDeck interface, but I don't know how to use them.

I worry about possibly messing up the forum database if I was to do that. It looked like in the Admin Panel for phpBB I would be able to easily change the directories things are based on there, but I don't know. I'm hoping to talk with ipowerweb tomorrow and they may be able to talk me through how to do it on the phone--unless you already know for sure how to do it already. We're on a plan that lets us have 5 domains, I think. We're on the middle plan, I believe, the pro.

I'm not familiar with vDeck at all. Do you have cPanel's WHM control panel?

Unfortunately, I don't know what that is. Sad
