I have a new theme almost ready--there's just a couple bugs to work out of it. The thing about it is--if you don't like something that looks feminine, don't use this new theme called "feminine".

To select a new theme, just go to your profile and you'll find it near the bottom. Smile

A less feminine version will be coming soon.

feminine?

lol. I like it. I like the original one better, but I like it nonetheless. I'm interested in checking out cpu hog.

cpu hog is not for people with phone modems. It's the background images done with more layering, so the file sizes are much bigger. I originally was going to make it change colors in the background, morph between different shades of color, but it REALLY was a cpu hog, too much of one. On the cpu hog theme, it's much much much harder to find the seams of the tiles. Oh yeah, it also uses a different font.

It should look better here very soon. I'm still strugglling with trying to get the post area to have the right graphic. I'm sure you'll like it even more when it's done.

Well, this temporary fix looks better than it did, but I'm going to need Coyote's help on this one.

I have the css set to make this background look like one of these two graphics:

and this one:

But they're not showing up. Right now I set the .forumline option to be transparent so at least you get to see the nicely colored background instead of what's supposed to be the background image for the border, which is my temporary fix until I can get it looking better. I really like the way the theme looks, although my favorite is still the dark theme because I like dark backgrounds with light text, but I'm looking forward to getting it completed.

The thing I like about the 'feminine' theme is you can see the scaly detail much better.

I'm on vacation right now (with high speed internet! w00t! ) and spending time with the fam, but I should be able to help you more after the holidays, Kizz. Guess I'd better try the cpuhog theme while I can. Except I have high speed internet, but low speed cpu, lol.

Damnit---they're STILL not showing up. I have spent the last 5 hours trying to figure this out. It just doesn't make any sense why those graphics aren't showing up. They show up in the main index just fine, but they won't show up in the message area.

Okay, it seems to be a matter of row1 and row2 properties are not even showing up at all when I look at the source when I use this theme, but they show up when I use the other theme. I'm trying to figure out what would have messed up those properties...

I like this image I did last night, and I knew it would look good in the feminine theme as a background for all the posts until I can figure out why row1 and row2 aren't being applied to the posts.

The message areas now have the correct graphic on them. The theme is finally done and fixed now. I've changed the title of this thread to reflect that. It's even ready on the front page now. Yeay!

Here are some pictures of them, for those guests wanting to see what they generally look like, since I know that there are people who just don't like dark backgrounds with light text:

For those that just can't stand graphics on forums, I WILL be adding a couple less-graphics intensive themes, one will be the original subSilver phpBB theme, very generic, and one called MobTown Blues which can be seen on http://www.americanpoliticsforum.com/

I have bad news. I thought I had a version of Mobtown Blues ready for this forum but I don't. I've uploaded a couple others to try out, though.

Hey I bet you could do something cool with the VistaX theme...

Darn. Well, I think I'd just like to have Lively Darkness, Bright Femininity, and VistaX. I'm not sure if you were working with them right now, but I think those are going to be my choices of themes. Having too many more makes it confusing, and I'd rather have most of the ones available be the themes I made. No offense meant...
