I like displays of the types of things I speak against displaying so much at the gay pride marches. I don't speak against those things as a general thing--I only speak against them in the sense of having it be a BIG association that people will have of gay people by having them in gay pride marches but not in any other types of marches. That's why I think if there was a sexual openness parade, and there happened to still be a gay parade at another time, the gay one wouldn't have to be focused so much on those things because the other one would take up that slack.
If it means that the participation goes down a lot in the gay one, that will blatantly show what the majority of people go to the gay parades for, and it can be disassociated with gay so much and be then associated only with people who like those kinds of things. I think that would be good for the gay community, unless the goal is actually something different than just acceptance of gay people.
If the goal is, for instance, to make it so anyone could have sex in any public place--THAT should be a separate group of people than having it look like the "gay" agenda. I'm speaking of extremes here, so don't take it as if I'm saying that's the push by the gay community--I do know a number of people who want to push for those kinds of things though, and not all of them are gay. If we as a society could handle something like that, I'd say more power to people--but society ISN'T ready to handle something like that, and there's all the health hazards and public safety issues--but then again, all those things could be covered via someone having to carry something they sit on as not to get any bodily whatever on anything--but still, that just isn't something I think we'd even be ready for in 100 years. I'm a nudist at heart, and I wish society wasn't so up tight about nudity. I wouldn't want to be in a "gay nudist" activist group if I was to become a nudist activist--I would want to be in a nudist activism group that covers everyone. I think it would be cool if there were nudist marches.
I'm trying to make a point, but I don't know if it makes any sense. Please let me know.
