I've been seeing a lot of talk lately of the idea of removing the Israel/Palestine borders and just simply making it one country, not a Jewish country and not a Muslim country, but simply a country. I would actually really support a move like this. How do you feel about this?
I can't imagine that many Israeli's would like the idea much though....

After about 70% of the populations kill one another, it might work.

Well, there would definitely have to be something in place to help keep that kind of violence down. The thing is, most of the violence is coming from the idea that one side is suppressing the other. Without that element to drive people to violence, would they really be as violent?

Sure they would. Instead of two different governments you would have two different parties of the same government. The ideology doesn't change, it just eliminates the physical barrier between the two.

Wouldn't two parties of the same government have less chance of violence against each other than two completely different governments that are hellbent on eliminating each other?

Under normal circumstances I would say that you are correct, but circumstances are not normal. Take the United States for example. Though the Democrats and Republicans differ there are some key fundamental things that they agree upon. If we look at Israel, that is not possible. The two forces are opposed beyond mere political ideology. They both believe that the land was given to them by God. This means that they will continue fighting until fundamentalism has subsided.

That crazy man, Qadafi, has been calling for this very thing for years, his idea was to rename the area after consolidation to Isatine. This is not a new idea, but the points about fundamentalism is the best argument against such a move.
