With Coyote's help, I'm making a few changes to the forum. Actually, Coyote is doing all the work, so it's more than help, it's him doing it all.

Mods are being added that will help keep down a lot of issues I've been having lately. Spambots are on the rise, and I'm really tired of having to delete 15-25 spambots a day from the forum, and it appears to be worsening, so I need to have something here that helps alleviate some of the work involved in this. I spend a lot of time researching every user that comes on here, and once I've exhausted the possibility of a user even remotely possibly being a REAL user and not just a spambot, I delete them. There are still about 3 users here that are questionable in this area, but I have kept them anyway because there's that ever-so-slight chance that they may be real. All of this has taken up a LOT of my time and I'm just tired of having to go through this all the time, every single day. It's much worse than having to go through junk mail.

So--again--thank you Coyote for all the work you've put into this forum. It has been priceless.

So, just so you know--as these mods are being put on the forum, visually there may be some issues--these issues will be fixed shortly, if they happen at all.

Thanks everyone Smile

If I do it right, you won't notice that anything has changed at all, at least at first.

But I really gotta jet for a couple hours, so it won't be happening until later tonight. Smile

I have recently found that download speed on inmotion hosting is not very good. 150k is the maximum, and I just don't find that to be an acceptable rate.

Coyote has offered to transfer my domain to his server, and that is something that is in-process at this time. By tomorrow, this forum will be modded and transferred to a new hosting platform that is 10 times faster than what I'm using currently.

I love InMotion's customer support. They have been absolutely superb in those areas, I just would really like to have a faster server. There have been points where I have tried to just look at the recent posts and the server has timed out--I don't like that kind of thing much. To me, InMotion is spreading their servers a little too thin, and they're losing me as a customer because of it. Great great customer service by itself is not enough for them to keep me as a customer--I want a fast server that people who have high speed internet can really take advantage of.

If I could give Coyote a big hug right now, I would. I just can't believe how much he's done for me. He is an amazing person. Smile

As you can see, the changes are happening. There are some old changes I need to re-add, like the size of the area that you enter text in (I want to make the text in that area bigger as well) and the bbcode that's usually in the text editing area. It will all be back soon, and as you see, there are some extra things here already. The front page will soon be kizzume.com as I am working on a new front page that incorporates the themes from both the forum and the original kizzume.com page, one that uses that color-changing background element but not huge so it doesn't bog down the processor. It's going to be a challenge, but this should be fun. Smile

I'm really glad to have this over on a new server. This server is SO much faster than the other one was. This server is AT LEAST 8 times faster. Smile

Anyway--these bugs will be worked out soon.

Massive new options--like adding file attachments to posts. Soon I'll have the option to attach more than just images--you'll be able to attach videos and mp3's and many other things to messages--upload them right onto the server.

There are many things to look forward to, and please report any weirdness in the suggestions area. Smile

Thanks Smile

I have to go somewhere for a few hours this morning, but I will be back later this afternoon to fix the posting box and the file attachment stuff. Smile
