I've actually looked into Scientology in the mid 90's. It has too many fripperies in it, and it has a structure where you get to pay money to go to--I don't know what you'd call them--seminars where you try to go into your past to attack the things that are hurting you. I see nothing wrong with that concept by itself, but when you mix it with all the other crap, it just looks like another messed up religion.
I think people are being harsher on Tom Cruise than they should.
The one area that I really agree with him on (and the general scientologist approach) is the area of not pumping your body full of chemicals to take care of things that can be taken care of WITHOUT chemicals. If you're fat and want to lose weight, eat less and exercise more--don't take this pill and that pill so you can keep your same habits. If you're dealing with depression, try to find alternatives to taking antidepressants for it.

I gave heavy research on scientology just to know what it is. It is totally stupid and I would dare to say dangerous. They use a lot of bad tactics like blackmailing to get their way. Supposedly Nicole Kidman was blackmailed by them because she did one of those truth tests and they recorded it......
They are basically just organized criminals. And as far as their message. Puhlease. I don't remember the details too well because it has been a while. I just remember that we came from aliens that landed on our planet over a trillion years ago. A trillion years? Mmmkay. It is basically just science fiction mixed with organized crime.
And liberals like Tom Cruise and Will Smith eat it up because they want to be religious but they want to do something different. And with scientology, if you pay enough money they will worship you. I remember them describing Tom Cruise as their version of Jesus. Mmmkay.

As much as I hated Independence Day, I really like Will Smith as an actor, and when I've seen him interviewed and have seen footage of him in more candid moments, he just seems like a well-together guy. _________________ Meow.
