MIDI PLEASE HELP

Still can't get it to work. DOn't have any idea what I am doing. Here is a picture of what my program looks like right now, does anything look wrong? What do I do in order to hear the piano through the reason?

I will still need much help figuring out how to record this, and then how to put it to a beat though...... Sad

You should be able to just hit record and start playing the keyboard. When you play it back it should have recorded what you played.

For some reason though, it isn't doing that. And I have no idea why..... I can hear it, but it isn't showing up on the mixer and not showing up when I record it....

When you have the module selected that you're currently using, when you hit keys, are there any midi indicator lights that you see?

yes, the channel is flashing and beside the channel it is showing up on the bars. But not on the mixer....and not when I record....

and also worth noting, if I try to add the drums, the drums show up on the mixer. BUT I CAN"T HEAR THEM

this is very maddening. At the same time it is very, very exciting. I finally got it to work. Now if I could only figure out how to get it to work a little more....

Try this:

Sorry I was too lazy to upload it to my server, so I just attached it to the message.

Notice the little keyboard icon--whatever instrument you want to do with the keyboard, click that area of the track so the keyboard icon shows up there and voila.

I ended up getting it to work. It took a long time, but, finally. And frankly, I am not sure what I did. I think I had something bogus in the preferences. But I did so much tweaking and all that, for about 2 and half hours, I cant be sure what actually made it work.

But I succeeded, and wow. I have the coolest song I am working on now. Sounds very very professional!
