Thanks. It has bee quite rough. Oddly enough, when I got up just about an hour ago I actually felt hungry. Maybe that part of the withdrawal will end sooner than I thought.

That was a great article. Thanks for that.
Well, yesterday I finally started to be able to eat normal again. Probably in a few days I'll be ravenous again and I'll probably start getting fat again. I had gotten down to 195 pounds, but just out of the way I ate between yesterday and today, I'm back up to 202.
I'll probably get fat a lot quicker than I did even last time, since last time I was creating new fat cells, and when one loses weight, they don't lose fat cells, the fat cells just basically shrink--when I gain weight this time, the fat cells will expand, as if they're ready and waiting just for that to happen way before I create any new ones.
I'm really not willing to diet when I've quit weed. When I don't do weed, when I'm full, as in not hungry, I don't have mood swings, I'm generally calm, and I feel good. Like I've said--I'd rather be morbidly obese than to feel the way I do when I don't have weed and am really hungry.
Being hypoglycemic doesn't help either.

Yep, I seem to be back in ravenous mode again--already.
I'm just waiting for the confusion part to go away. Until I read that article, I thought there was something wrong with me from the confusion I've been dealing with.....

I sure made some mistakes today on OTL. Horrible mistakes.
My emotions the past couple days have been on overdrive, and I've had a real hard time dealing with them.
Weed, to some degree, gave me a bit of apathy, it sort-of numbed me to a lot of things that I wasn't willing to deal with directly. Now I'm having to deal with them directly, and it has been a major challenge. I've treated so many people poorly/rudely this week, and I feel awful about it. I've had NO patience at all.
I haven't even liked my driving lately--I'm too aggressive, I want to get from point A to point B too quickly, I've even used my horn a few times. I'm not liking myself very much right now--I'm a total wreck today.

Well, yesterday it was two weeks. I'm still doing well, considering that I got a call yesterday that a friend of mine killed himself. I had a cholesterol test done, came back at 128, which surprised me since 5 years ago when I had it taken it was in the mid 200's, so at least if I do start gaining weight at the rate I did last time I quit weed, at least there'll be a little leeway in the cholesterol area that I won't have to be super-paranoid about.
Still though, the thing that has been the most rough is the panic I've been dealing with.

1) I LOVE the smell of good weed. If they made incense that actually smelled like weed, and didn't irritate me, I'd burn it every day.
2) Kizzume's brother once told me that I smoke much more weed than anyone he knows, including himself.
3) I quit weed years ago, and life for me is FAR better because of it (I always envied people who could keep it in check, I never could).
4) Cigarettes are legal? That's a lame reason why it's better than pot. I'd rather smoke pot my whole life than smoke cigarettes. Booze is legal too, and we all know what a family builder that is.
5) I smoked cigarettes for 15 years.

Yeah, I wish I could keep it in check. I suppose if I was rich there'd be a plateau that would be eventually reached, but I really like not being so cloudy-headed, and I like the 4 notes I get back in my vocal range--two notes on the top and two notes on the bottom.

Well, that didn't go so well--after the several deaths of friends, my mom going to the hospital, and a number of other factors, I ended up getting back on weed again. So far I've been able to keep things in check, but hopefully that will last.

"In check" is a relative term based on perception. Since marijuana alters one's perception, it is difficult to believe that one can trust their own altered perception in relation to substance abuse.
Not questioning you personally, just questioning the logic.

"In check" meaning not spending the kind of money I did previously on it. If I can keep it to a reasonable amount, that's what I mean by "in check".

Had to chime in here on this topic.
A week or so of doing without for me usually does the trick. Few nights of changing my clothes (several times in one evening) from the night sweats and some digestive tract issues (stomach problems are the norm for me and THC relieves this), then the head clears up and it's back to clarity again. Like you, Kiz, I get way more aggressive and generally pissed off more when I'm not smoking. Be it numbing emotions or just giving me the insight to deal with things better, THC keeps me on a more even keel.
Kizzume likes the extra vocal range from not smoking. I can't decide if I like the ease of vocals without versus the smoky raspyness from smoking. Been a few weeks as of this post for me and I have to say that the vocal chords are more flexible and easier to pull off those subtle nuances than when smoking heavy.
When I have weed I smoke it. Period. I sorta envy those that can store it for special occasions. Still, without it life is manageable, just not as colorful. My spiritual outlook on life drops down several levels without it. I lose the wonder and curiosity about the world around me. I also don't get the common cold or flu as easy when I'm smoking weed.
Of note: Nicotine is psychoactive. It has been shown that schizophrenics see a positive benefit from nicotine - ScienceDaily
A person who smokes heavily wouldn't notice the psychoactive effects because of raised tolerance levels. Remember when you first tried tobacco? That light headed high? If I smoke chronically (still not as heavy as a cigarette smoker), I loose that initial high and it becomes more of a maintenance dose of my meds. Yes, medical use. Disagree with that premise if you like. I see a positive benefit from this medicinal plant and it has a positive impact on my overall well being.
Recent studies have also shown that THC can kill cancer cells. Smoking it in plant form may or may not be enough to see a true impact of curing malignancies, but the concentrated hemp oils apparently do:

I agree with you completely on this. I wish I could get your link to work though There. That's better.
It's great to see you here. Welcome to the forum
