I finally got to see the first episode last night. That was a really good show. At first I was having a hard time trying to adjust to new actors for the parts, but it just fit right in. Summer (River in Firefly/Serenity) plays the "good" terminator in this, and she does a great job. I never quite realized though how flat her face was--there's something about her face that reminds me a of a Persian cat. She isn't ugly, she's actually kind-of pretty, but there's just that element to her face.
Like I said above though--at first I thought the acting was weird, but it's only because I was expecting them to be more like Lisa Hamilton and Edward Furlong, but I got over that very quickly because it was actually done well.
The new music had tiny hints of T2 in it, but I actually thought it was better than in T2--it wasn't the constant din of large machinery music like T2--it used those sounds once in a blue moon, but the rest was more incidental music which fit the scenes decently.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of these.

Meh, I checked it out. T2 is a classic. I put this show with Terminator 3, which was an hour and a half chase scene. Let this thing die. Then again, this is the opinion of someone who thinks LOST is some of the best writing ever put on TV. Some people think it's the worst show. I suppose it helps that I watch them on DVD so it's easier to follow along. I bet it would be frustrating watching for 42 minutes a week with commercials. Then it would seem like too much was going on. ARGH, I went off on a tangent. Sorry. I had high hopes for Sarah Connor Chronicles, it just sucks. "I call shotgun", "I call 9MM". Really? Wow, yet another play on the machine not understanding humans and pop culture. That's awful dialog. T2 was dark, gloomy, and bleak. This show reeks.

Unfortunately, I haven't got to see any of the episodes beyond the first one. If the dialogue is as bad as you're saying, I may have to agree with you.
The main thing that made me want to watch it was Summer, who was in the Firefly series.
