Disturbing Film

We just watched "Frisk." What a creepy creepy creepy movie. It might be a masterpiece - even though I'll never sit through it again. It's an indie feature about a gay serial killer's thoughts. It's very violence-porn (though not really bloody) ... with lots of naked sex and absolutely no erotica at all. I understand when it was shown at a gay cinema festival, half the audience walked out enraged. IMO, that simply means they were affected by it. Anger is a legitimate reaction that a film is doing what it's trying to do - and certainly valid with THIS piece.

They have it on Blockbuster Online, if you're a member...and are into serious artsy films that are definitely on the edge.

short - only about 90 minutes

it was like a non-humorous gay AMerican Psycho - if that makes sense LOL

very creepy - and, for a cheap indie no-budget flick, startlingly believable

I guess there have been a number of good movies lately in this regard. But they've all been independent.

Now if only the big productions would get the idea that without a good screenplay, it doesn't matter how many effects you have.

Did anyone see Club Kids? I thought that was great.
