As the country goes for the election, more and more importance is being placed on the need for change. Washington is in the dire need for change and for new beginnings. The government needs to be more pro-active and responsive. The country is faced by a number of challenges which include the need for comprehensive immigration reforms, including a fence protecting our nation's borders. There is a need for curbing excessive tax payment by the residents through tax cutting and reduction of high taxes. There is increasing emphasis being given on the Johnson’s Space Center, which will remain a vital part of our local economy and national treasure and must continue to receive the funding it needs. National Security issue is also looming large which stresses on the need to fight global terrorism and unsocial elements, to safeguard the country.
Texas 22nd district can progress only if it is represented by someone who belongs to the place. Only a representative who has stayed at the place can understand the common problems faced by the residents there. The constituency deserves a person who can stand up for them and their conservative values. Texas 22nd can move ahead under the stewardship of a fellow Texan, whose loyalties are for the district itself.
Newer ideas and leadership can help the district surge ahead economically and socially. This can be possible through innovative ideas that can stimulate the economy and generate more jobs.
The Texas 22nd congressional district will be holding the Primary Elections on March 4th, 2008. This year the candidates standing for election for this seat include former Sugar Land mayor Dean Hrbacek , former Pasadena mayor John Manlove, former John Cornyn Chief of Staff Pete Olson, Family District Judge Jim Squier, State Representative Bob Talton, and NASA contractor Ryan Rowley.

well, obviously I can't vote on any of this, but I certainly share your concern and hope that the right people in fact, do vote!
