To me, people like this are truly frightening. I do not get how people can be so arrogant, and this is someone who Clinton trusted. Can you imagine the uproar if Bush made that kind of statement?

I first remember noticing Madeleine Albright when the Wako siege was ended. I was appalled.
Being in the UK, we are used to such sieges ending through negotiation, or at the worst when the SAS go in and kill a few but save the majority. In the case of the Iranian Embassy siege, there were deaths and the criteria was that peaceful negotiation took place until the first hostage was killed. At that point, the SAS were told the terrorists should die, as other terrorists must be deterred from coming to the UK to carry out their actions.
Anyway...Wako was my first recollection of this woman. Based on what happened there, I formed the impression that her judgement is seriously questionable and pretty dangerous... this statement does not surprise me.
