GUYS:

Ties: Really skinny or bolo, any color that looks good with the outfit. I hate wide ties.

Button-up shirts: Collarless or that eastern cut where there's almost no collar, or a modified preacher's collar where it's somewhat similar to a tuxedo collar, any color that looks good with the person's complexion. I hate wide collars, I don't like striped shirts.

Slacks: No pleats no pleats no pleats, no Dickies, no polyester, no elastic, but cut more like 501's or even a bit of a lower rise

Pants in general: Lowrise or 501-cut jeans, black, blue, or not-new-looking brown or beige. I do not like oversized pants.

Shirts in general: Black or white t-shirts, somewhat tight-fitting but not to the point of looking like the person is being strangled. (Yes, I like halfshirts/bellyshirts as well. To me they don't look feminine unless the guy looks feminine to begin with, especially on a hairy guy they do not appear feminine to me, but they're not in any way politically correct to wear at this time Laughing )

Shoes in general: Harness boots (biker boots), military boots, vans, and black or white old-school leather tennisshoes.

GALS:

Just in general: No flowers or frilly stuff (and no lacey stuff). No huge shoulder pads. No fluorescent/neon colors. Did I mention no flowers or floral patterns. Yes, I did, well, no flowers. Just straightforward styles, including ones that still look elegant.

Pants: I think pants that really show a woman's behind is a good thing. It's one of the major shapes that usually look quite different between men and women. Women carry their weight differently, in general, than men, and I think it's great to show off the differences between those shapes as much as possible. I think stretch jeans are fantastic, and I think lowrise jeans were something that really needed to come back.

T-shirts: I think belly shirts are a great thing, even for the heavier women (if you don't like looking at heavy women, you'll find it ugly, but if you like looking at heavier women, you'll find it nice). There's showing skin and there's overly-tight titting, and I think t-shirts should have at least a little bit of play in them, not LOOSE, but enough play that it doesn't look like the person is being strangled by their shirt.

Shirts in general: single-color shirts, no stripes (or flowers or lace). There are so many great styles in women's shirts. None of that style where one side/strap is halfway down one's arm while the other is on the shoulder.

Dresses in general: as little of that bunched-up material look as possible. Flowing designs. I think the ones that have straps look better in general, the strapless ones too often fit incorrectly because they're not specifically tailored to the person, so it ends up looking like strange seashells shells jutting out in front of their breasts instead of looking like a flowing part of the design of the dress that simply compliments their breasts.

Shoes: I don't like clogs much unless they aren't so high that they look like "special" shoes for short people to make them feel taller, and I don't like heels that are too high--there's a point where it starts to look like a torture device for one's feet rather than something one would WANT to wear on their feet to walk around in. Otherwise I'm pretty open.

Jewelery: I prefer simplicity if jewelry is to be worn at all. Whatever style it may be, simplicity is the key.

How about you?

Men:

I prefer casual clothing. If a suit is necessary, make it a GOOD one. I hate cheap ass suits that look like they're off-the-rack at Penny's. Beautifully tailored Italian suits - no vests please! - with linen or silk dress shirt (no button down collars please!) and rich yummy colored ties.

Jeans - BLUE jeans. Don't ask me why - all the other colors look like fakes to me LOL. Well-fitted and not-too-new...though I've o.d.'ed on the ripped up jeans look. No saggy, baggy, ass-to-the-knees hip hop crap.

Tee-shirts - no slogans! Well-fitted, but not too tight. (Sorry - no crop tops - they look like you're trying way too hard LOL)

Dress shirts - long sleeves are a must. If something requires more 'dressing up' than a tee-shirt, short sleeves aren't going to make it. No button down collars. Never more than the top two buttons left undone. If you're going to roll up your sleeves, never more than one cuff width. If it ain't flannel, it shouldn't be plaid!

Shoes - prefer cowboy or biker boots or Docs. Please, no sandals. Leather sneakers that don't look too trendy - white or black. Italian leather slip ons for dress.

Women:

I'm much more into high style and fashion on women. They can be as outrageous as they like, as long as the clothes are flattering. Bias cut dresses are always the most beautiful - but not if there isn't a fairly good body beneath them! From retro funky to space age haute couture - it's all fun if the woman can pull it off. Shoes? As outrageous - as high - as bizarre as possible. I think they're fun. I love looking at women when they're made an attempt to be fabulous!
