I'm a little out-of-my-head tonight. I knew I was getting something and could feel it in my skin, so I took a couple aspirin, and I'm glad I did. About an hour and a half ago I was watching House, the season finale, and wondering why it just seemed so strange. When it was over, when I got up I realized that I could only attempt to get up when I put as much effort as I normally do. So, I don't think I'll be able to help you very well tonight. I'm a little out-of-my head, and my senses are extra-weird, everything is sort of ever-so-slightly-twisted somehow, like one of those things where I can hear a major chord but suddenly only be able to play it back in my head as a minor chord, so something that was "happy" sounding turns into something "bad/depressing" sounding, it's really weird--I know what it really sounded like, but this strange layer of muck that twists things is between the way I normally look at things, and this kind of thing seems to happen whenever I get sick. I'm wondering if, when I go to bed, I'll get that rolling grinding gravel and stones in a perfect infinite horizontal line thing, and the movement of my fingers feels like I'm moving sidewalks on a street together--it's not quite like two balloons because balloons don't have that weird murky surface of fingerprints nor does it have much of a texture at all. I don't know. Maybe balloons is a good way to describe it, but it seems to feel like it means more than balloons when it happens, it's more like every movement causes a whole reality to crumble like the destruction of an earthquake or something but I just keep doing it anyway for some reason. Yeah, weird stuff, it should be interesting sleeping tonight I tell you.

Last night went there a little bit, not quite to the delusional aspects, thankfully. Sorry for the ramble.

I just split this from another thread because it didn't pertain to the subject at hand--so, the flu shot element doesn't even get mentioned until THIS very post you're looking at.

I think I'm going to start taking the flu shot seriously, because ever since I was little I was susceptible to the flu, it was even worse when I still had my tonsils before I was in 6th grade. I'm just tired of this happening so often.

How many of you have had a flu shot, and have you known anyone that had adverse reactions to it? I look online and find things on both sides, but I'd really like to know how people here on this forum feel about it.

Well, I usually get a flu shot, because I don't really want to get sick. At most, I get a little bit of aches once in a while, but I have rarely gotten the flue in a long time.

I usually take any vaccine that's offered.

I'm gonna get a shot when it comes around again that people are getting shots.
