Kung Fu Panda

One word best describes the newest effort by Dreamworks, known as Kung Fu Panda: Bland. Whereas other dreamworks pictures like Over the Hedge or the original Shrek had a well rounded mix of child and adult humor along with a certain spunk, Kung Fu Panda falls short. (It also falls short of most of Dreamworks' competitor's films, such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo, or Monsters Inc.) Unlike many films of a similar style and animation, it is doubtful that Kung Fu Panda will be remembered.

It isn't that it is a terrible movie; its really just fine. Just simply that Kung Fu Panda lacks distinction, and is too short on adult, or children's humor. It is also predictable, but hey, this is supposed to be a kids movie, right?

I imagine that a person could basically know the whole movie just by seeing the trailer for it. Laughing

Well, this is one that I never had any interest in seeing.

I'm not a huge fan of the current crop of cartoons ... they're okay, for sure - but I just can't get excited about a drawing's emotions.

Though, I have to admit, Shrek made me laugh a lot.
