Strange side-scrolling fighting game mods

Out of all the mods I've seen for side-scrolling fighting games, I'd say this one takes the cake:

And if you look at the links on the youtube page on both of those, it seems that this whole thing has hit by storm for some reason. Very strange.

I always enjoy the possibility of adding new characters to games. I have been waiting faithfully for one of my favorite games of all time, Marvel VS. Capcom 2, to maybe have a sequel and add a lot of the superheroes and characters I feel are missing from action. It would also be really fun if some of the additions were the Ronald McDonald character and his friends. Honestly, if they ever do make a sequel I wouldn't be surprised, as they have added all kinds of weirdos to be unlocked in number 2 that I had never seen before (but must be in one of their games.)
