Dweezil Zappa plays Frank's music live on DVD. Yes indeed, it's Zappa Plays Zappa. Filmed in Portland and Seattle. No Mudshark in this one.

Anyone who has the chance to check this out, do yourself a favor and do so. Frank's music is sometimes hard to approach and technically difficult to pull off live. Viewing it pulled off by a talented crew is something unique to behold even for those who are unaccustomed to Frank's style.

Terry Bozio plays his Black Page parts one and two with Steve Vai playing on part two. Amazing stuff. Story goes that Bozio heard some orchestral drummers bemoaning the 'black page' of musical notes they faced in the studio, so Bozio wrote his own; showed it to Frank who took the sheet home and wrote music and lyrics to go along with the piece. Check out Bozio's drum kit too. Jeesh. How many toms can he cram in? Well, as it turns out he has them tuned to specific notes. A drummer who is also a musician?
