You further strengthen my point.

Please elaborate. After all, the library is intended for the use of the public, is it not?

Borrowing is different than copying.

I'm just basically saying that I can see both sides, and I tend to tilt towards the side of the consumer even though I KNOW that it's not right according to the law.

WEll, how do you feel about buying music used? Like for example, lets say you go to the U district and buy an album from Cellophane square. Or maybe you buy a CD off of ebay. Is that ethical? The reason I ask is, none of that money you spent goes to the record label or the artist if you buy it used. The money you spend is simply going to a third party vendor. With which case, you might as well have just copied the CD if the reason to buy it is to support the record label and/or artist.

It's not illegal to buy used merchandise. We're just saying it's illegal, not necessarily just. I'm in agreement with Kizzume's first post on the way I feel about the whole thing.

Okay. Well I guess we are making two different statements then. I am not talking about the law. I am talking about this as a "moral issue" I guess, hehe.

It is definitely a multi-faceted issue.
