I am trying to start an organization to help petition and change the laws of our state (and then country) concerning gay marriage. I have no idea what i am doing or how to be most effective, etc. It is sort of a shot in the dark. I just put up a very basic, skeletal web site right now which gives a basic explanation for what I want to do with my organization. At this point I do not know how many people I will involve or how we will go about creating the change we intend to effect.

Would you guys be willing to help me get my message out? I'm really lousy at web design/cool pictures, and I know you're both really good at it. Here's what I need: I want to have an emblem that can be used as bumper stickers and on t-shirts. I wouldn't be selling the t-shirts for profit but rather at cost or maybe free (and I would pay for them) to give to people.

I want the bumper stickers to be free. Here's what I want the bumper sticker to do:

I need someone's help designing the emblem and making it look cool. I want the emblem to be an American flag, but have the stripes of the flag be a rainbow (or it could be just a pattern of say, pink and green or something...something that can sort of somehow symbolize gay colors if any really exist....) and then to the very right of the American Flag with gay colors I want it to simply say in bold letters "Straight People for Gay Marriage."

I don't know how to do bumper stickers, and my art skills suck compared to both of yours on the computer. Can either or both of you help me with this? It would be plenty cool if it went through something like cafepress or some other designer web site I could just order a bunch of stickers through.

Then I would save the emblem and artwork jpegs for if I can get some funding. If I can get some funding, then we would do the same thing with t-shirts. I would order a bunch of them, and just give them away for free.

We could sell them but I do not want this to be about money. I want it to be about message.

If either of you can help me with the emblem design and bumper sticker PLEASE HELP. I want to start handing out stickers for cars immediately.

I personally believe that "Straight People for Gay Marriage" is a really strong message I would like to spread throughout our state, letting gays know that there are straight people on their side too, and letting straight people know it is okay to speak out for gays being oppressed in our state.

Thanks very much for any help either one of you help me with.

I really like it Kizzume, thanks! For some reason I am having an issue uploading it on Cafe Press though-- it is just slightly cutting off the "e" at the end of "People." I may be able to make an adjustment myself but I don't know.

EDIT: Nevermind, I was able to fix it. Thanks again Kizzume, it looks great!

I would tell you but unfortunately I have no idea. When it is 3.10 inches tall (the site doesn't mention width) the e gets cut off, but when it is 3.0 inches tall it fits perfectly. So that can sort of give you an indication of how tiny of a shrink it needs in order to fit perfectly.

I thank you for your help kizzume. I am about to update the site with more pages. I was wondering if it is possible for you to do this same image you have above but have it mention the website url underneath?

I just updated the site further! I think it is starting to have a lot of good content now. I addressd the concern some people have with children raised by homosexual couples by showing an article written by the American Academy of Pediatrics-- the AAP has concluded based on numerous studies that there is absolutely no harm in any way shape or form in a child being raised by homosexual parents. I provided that link and in the "Get involved" section created a page that mentions how to get involved, and includes a link to the artwork and motto to be downloaded at full quality.

Well, here's the new png version:

If you could link me to the site for the stickers I could get the size right. Let me know. Sorry it took so long to get this new one to you.

How about a link to his site on the bottom of the sticker? Er...I guess since it's a sticker it wouldn't be a link, but you know what I mean. Smile
