You know, he actually wrote Hospital Music while in the hospital for treatment of Manic Depression. He's a pretty amazing artist. I have not given the new album much of a good listen yet, but hes is by far one of my favorite artists of all time. Check his solo stuff out, and also The Matthew Good Band, from before he broke off. ps, I heard the decemberists. I actually had a full album of theirs on my computer from who knows when. Indeed it is good music. I don't feel that I can categorize it, though windows media player calls it "alternative." Hmph! . The album is called "Her Majesty." I think I would call it chamber-rock. It was good, very good.

Said by Pitchfork Media to be the 2nd best album of 2007. I am probably going to place it as number 5, personally.
PS, I originally put Saul Williams' record higher than it deserved just to help generate hype. It has now been lowered on the list, but I'll still contend that within the alternative hip hop genre, his album is a standout. Not Deltron 3030, but still.
